Dr John Ofori Tenkorang, Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), is urging the working population to give serious thought to retirement insurance as a means of ensuring financial stability during old age.
He emphasized that individuals, whether working in the formal or informal sectors, should take into account the longer life expectancy of the current generation and make efforts to guarantee a secure and pensionable future.
During a discussion with the informal sector in Ho, Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang highlighted the importance of both parents and their children securing their retirements, recognizing that they would share the burden of providing for their elderly years, making it imperative for each party to take steps towards securing their financial futures.
