Rapper and CEO of Black Avenue Music, Diamond Kwesi Blackmore, also known as D-Black has resorted to social media to express his displeasure with Ghana’s present economic situation and his remorse for supporting the Akufo-Addo regime.
His annoyance was spurred by a post from Hitz FM Ghana in which he praised the finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, and President Nana Akufo-Addo for lowering taxes and the cost of purchasing replacement parts.
D-Black criticized the current status of the economy and voiced dissatisfaction with the administration’s performance in his posts. He also responded to fans who questioned why he and other industry figures had remained relatively quiet about the situation of the economy, implying that it is time for change and action.
D-Black’s flurry underscores the continuing talks and anxieties about the economic difficulties facing Ghana and the expectations citizens have from their government.
