Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia held talks in Accra with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, aiming to strengthen cooperation between Ghana and the Czech Republic.
Prime Minister Fiala’s two-day visit is historic, as he is the first Prime Minister of the Czech Republic to visit Ghana.
During the meeting, Vice President Bawumia emphasized the significance of the visit and its potential for enhancing bilateral ties between the two nations.
Such diplomatic engagements contribute to fostering partnerships, economic collaboration, and cultural exchanges between countries.

This morning, I welcomed to the Jubilee House, H.E. Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, who is in the country for a two-day historic visit.
Prime Minister Fiala is the first Czech Prime Minister to visit Ghana, and his visit opens the door for the strengthening of existing cooperation between the two countries.
We held bilateral discussions on existing areas of cooperation such as: economic, agriculture, health, defence and security, as well as new areas we can explore, such as technology, merchanised agriculture and trade, for the benefit of the two countries.
Czech Republic has been a strategic partner to Ghana’s development, and I used the occasion to thank Prime Minister Fiala for his country’s support and cooperation.
