Chiwetalu Agu, the seasoned Nollywood actor, recently unveiled an intriguing anecdote involving a substantial N10 million which is approximately 145,264.82 Ghana cedis offer for a movie role, an opportunity he deliberately declined.
This remarkable proposition was extended by none other than the billionaire tycoon and telecommunications magnate, Mike Adenuga.
Engaging in a captivating dialogue with media authority Chude Jideonwo, Chinwetalu Agu divulged the details of his bold decision to turn down the lucrative the $13k or GHc145,264.82 proposal from Adenuga, all in pursuit of a cinematic endeavour.
In a revelation that caught many by surprise, the actor confessed that he had not even breached the one-million-Naira milestone at that juncture. Nevertheless, unyielding in his stance, he steadfastly held out for a remarkable GHc145,264.82 compensation instead.
Chiwetalu Agu shared this intriguing tale during an interview with media personality Chude, where he elaborated that, despite his relatively modest earnings at the time.
Agu said; “Chief Mike Adenuga said, ‘what I have for you in this contract is N10 million.’ I have not seen N1 million before when he was pricing me N10 million but I refused. I said, ‘if it’s not N20 million, forget it.’
“He insisted, I insisted. So, I pretend to rise up and said, ‘give me money to go back to Enugu. If there’s any available flight, book it for me let me just quietly go back.’
