Police prevent NPP delegates from entering voting booths with phones

To prevent potential vote-buying, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has imposed restrictions on the use of mobile phones by delegates during their presidential primary.

Delegates were either required to switch off their phones or leave them outside the voting booths at various polling centers.

This measure, jointly issued by the NPP leadership and the Electoral Commission (EC), is aimed at maintaining the integrity and secrecy of the electoral process.

Multiple voting screens were also provided to make the process more convenient for delegates.
