People living in the villages within the Kwaebibirem municipal assembly in the Eastern region have called on government to assist them to be registered unto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) because they claim to be the ones who need it most due to their poor financial situation in the villages.
The people lamented that sometimes getting money to register or renew the NHIS card for their children becomes very difficult because they even struggle to get money for two square meals for their families let alone getting money to register or renew their NHIS cards and their children own as well.
They further added that considering the hardship and financial difficulties in villages within the Kwaebibirem municipal assembly, they will be much enthused if government or cooperate agencies or philanthropists regularly assist them financially to get them registered or renew their cards for them especially their children own because they get frustrated when the got to hospital without NHIS card.
The people made this statement during a free NHIS card registration for more than thirty villages within the Kwaebibirem municipal assembly which was financed by Madam Gifty Obeyaa Asare, an NPP member of parliament candidate hopeful for Kade constitueny
Madam Gifty Obeyaa Asare, NPP parliamentary candidate hopeful for Kade constituency urged the people to support her to climb the Kade constituency MP seat which a lady never occupied since the constituency was created and to bring development and social interventions for the people.
