NPP Race: I’ve called Bawumia to congratulate him – Afriyie Akoto concedes defeat

Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, one of the contestants in the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer race, has gracefully accepted his defeat and extended warm congratulations to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, even though the official results are yet to be officially declared. Dr. Bawumia appears to be in the lead in this competition.

Dr. Akoto proactively reached out to Vice President Dr. Bawumia to convey his sincere congratulations.

During an interview with Joy News in Accra, he expressed his full acceptance of the election results, recognizing the voice of the party’s delegates.

While Dr. Akoto may have felt disappointed not to secure the flagbearer position, his gracious response underscores his unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of democracy and respect for the democratic process.
