Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has urged Ghanaians and music industry stakeholders to take it easy on how they criticize new up-and-coming talents in Ghana.
Taking to Facebook page, Sarkodie recalled how he made mistakes in his era when he started his music career and that of some of his colleagues in the music business.
Sarkodie praised the new cats in the music game for their best to push their craft on both social and traditional media and he pointed out that they will make mistakes and learn from their at some point in their career hence, Ghanaians should give them a chance.
His write up reads;
My era coming up, we had time to make our mistakes behind cameras and at least work on our approach to this business (how to speak during interviews, stage craft , how to deal with this industry in general) still learning but comparing to These young kings coming up, they literally starting right in front of our eyes ( social x traditional media ) they have to learn to correct mistakes at their peak …it’s a lot of pressure and sometimes affect their decisions. It’s not easy at all for them . I would urge we take it easy on them and give them a chance 🙏🏿
