Very soon the Electoral commission will embark on a limited registration exercise to register new voters, into their voter album.
The registration exercise will takes place in the various district offices across the country.
There have been issues raised in their upcoming limited registration exercise, where some political parties are not happy about certain decisions, surrounding process.
The NDC, APC, LGP, and GPCC have filed a court suit against the electoral commission not to begins with their registration exercise.
The reason why the political parties took a legal action against the electoral commission, was that the EC wants to bring restrictions in the process, by having a restricted registration centres in the country.
The political parties who sued the EC are of the view that if the EC did not provide enough registration centres it will deprived those who are eligible to register and vote for their preferred political parties.
So, until the EC complied with their suggestions of providing enough registration centres, they won’t allow the EC to embark on the limited registration exercise.
The NDC has make a serious allegation against the EC chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensah for recruiting NPP members in Electoral commission, to mastermind the NPP agenda to rigged election 2024.
One may ask ,does the EC boss doesn’t have any moral right to recruit any qualified personnel to work for the electoral commission anymore.
Whether, the limited registration exercise will come on or not is yet to be decide by the supreme court.
