The former president of Ghana and 2024 presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama, currently has make a derogatory comment about the judiciary by bringing their reputation and credibility into a disrepute.
He attacked the incumbent government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for appointing NPP judges in the supreme court, the apex court in Ghana.
Classifying the judges to be NPP members, that’s why any case his party will take to court, it doesn’t go to their favor.
What he said have opened doors for others to come in to rain attacks on his personality.
The likes of Salam Mustapah the national youth organizer for the ruling new patriotic party(NPP) has come out to give reference to him by referring him about the 2012 election petition ,it was the same supreme court judges who rules in his favor.
So, he doesn’t have any moral right to discredit the judiciary, also Mr krobea Asante one of the deputy Communications directors for the ruling party (NPP) have said in plain words that the former president John Dramani Mahama is not a true stateman, because he doesn’t talk like a real stateman, according to him per the constitution of Ghana the president has the constitutional right to appoint judges to the supreme court.
The former deputy secretary of the national democratic congress (NDC) Mr Koku AYINDOHO. has come out to frown against the comments the former president John Dramani Mahama made against the judiciary.
In his interview with the media on what the former president John Dramani Mahama said against the judiciary, he said will Mr Mahama pack NDC judges in supreme court, when he becomes president again?
Will that be his party’s decision , when. he goes on that tangent?
Will that help the democratic principles of the country?
