In a warning statement, Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews, also known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, the 2020 presidential candidate for the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), said he intended to lead a protest should President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo send Ghanaian troops to intervene in the ongoing coup crisis in Niger.
On Monday, August 14, 2023, Osofo Kyiri Abosom expressed this viewpoint during a press conference in Accra.
Osofo Kyiri Abosom emphasized that Ghana should concentrate on resolving its own domestic issues and refrain from meddling in other countries’ internal affairs.
Osofo Kyiri Abosom pleaded with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to refrain from any participation in acts that would result in the deaths of their own military soldiers while emphasizing Ghana’s ongoing battles.
