In our previous post, we reported that, Anne Sophie Avé, the Ex French Ambassador to Ghana has entreated the Government of Ghana to consider Ghanaian Musicians on the list of people who should be given a diplomatic passports to help push a positive image of the country on the global stage.
According to her, Ghanaian artists have made a significant contribution to the creative industry during her turner.
She mentioned the names of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and King Promise, amongst others deserve diplomatic passports.
In a Twitter post, Sophie Avé said their contributions to Ghana on the international stage were better than what the best ambassadors could do in a lifetime.
On UTV’s Showbiz, Micheal Ola, a Despite Media employee reacted to the former Ambassador’s calling and said some Ghanaian artists don’t deserve a diplomatic passport.
Emphatically, he mentioned, Shatta Wale as an artist who doesn’t deserve a diplomatic passport.
According to him, the Ghanaian dance hall artists has little moral respect for Ghanaians and his colleague artists. He mentioned that, the unpredictable character of Shatta Wale which makes him insult anybody anyhow is not a character that is worth a diplomatic passport.
