Even, Elon Musk won’t do this - Tweep drags Ken Agyapong over $800m step down offer by Bawumia

A Twitter user has flatly rejected claims made by Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, regarding an alleged offer of $800 million to withdraw from the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer race.

Some X users have criticized Agyapong’s comments, considering the amount mentioned to be enormous and improbable.

They find it difficult to believe that such an offer would be made, comparing it to the wealth of individuals like Elon Musk, believed to be the wealthiest person in the world.

In an interview with Time FM, Mr Agyapong said, “Does he know the number of people who have approached me but for the love of Ghana and the delegates I have said I will never do it?

“The money they offered is $800 million, if he doesn’t know. He should ask Mr Oppong Bio, if that is what they are saying but I said no I will not step down, Ghana first.

Reacting to this on Twitter, one X user, @JefferyAnkamah wrote: “I am not a political activist but, I can’t just believe this political gimmick! Even, Elon Musk won’t reimburse a person with this enormous container money! We’re talking about 800 million! Money that’s closer to 1 billion can never be a caricature!”
