The concern citizens of Ashaiman, has turned the whole of Ashaiman, upside down by demonstrating peacefully concerning the depicting and deplorable state of the road network in Ashaiman.
The citizenry of Ashaiman, as gone through a lot of stress, today 3rd October, 2023, most of the public transport were not working and some roads got blocked, the inflows of public transport was freezed.
Some individuals used the demonstration to create some Chaos by preventing the innocent ones from their right.
Thousands of people came out to demonstrate against the Government for neglecting Ashaiman roads and demanded the quota of the share of the national cake.

The demonstration started from borlar junction which is closer to Ashaiman Methodist church, they moved to Newtown junction and passed commercial bank.
When they got to Ashaiman traffic light the demonstration turned to become an attacked between the demonstrators and the police.
The demonstrators decided to passed through an unauthorized and approved route, which is Ashaiman,main market but the police resisted them to pass through the route.
The demonstrators spent more than 1 hour when they got to Ashaiman traffic light,they decided to pass through the Ashaiman main market road but the police resisted them, because it was not part of the agreed route they approved.
There was an unfortunate incident that happened,one of the demonstrators threw a stone to hit one of the police personnels.
The police arrested three of the demonstrators who misbehaved during the demonstration.
Tears Gas was fired by the police when the demonstrators put the laws into their hands.
The police did their possible best to calm the demonstrators down and controlled them.
The member of Parliament for Ashaiman constituency, the legislature Hon.Enerst Henry Norbey joined the demonstration, when speaking to the media he said he has done his possible best to looby for the construction of Ashaiman roads but yet all his efforts does not avails.
The organizers of the demonstration went to the Ashaiman municipal Assembly to present a petition to the municipal chief executive, Hon Albert Boakye Okyere.
The MCE received their petition with the Municipal director, when speaking with the media he assured them that he is still pushing for the construction of Ashaiman roads, so they should have patience.
