Aunty Amma Busia who is the biological sister of the late President Kofi Abrefa Busia,who is one of the leading and respected member of the new patriotic party (NPP) has shared her displeasure with the current happenings in the party.
There have been a lot of issues flooding the party in the aftermath of the super delegates conference, to capped all the presidential aspirants into five.
It started when Hon.Alan kwadwo Kyeremateng’s polling agent was assaulted in North East Region, during the voting process.
The chased out of the legislature, the member of Parliament for Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong agent at the same North East Region, alluded to his show down comment against the vice president Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.
Mr Addai Nimo and Mr Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko had the same vote s during the super delegates conference.
Surprisedly Mr Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko opted out from the contest unsuspectedly, by saying that the code of conduct setted to be a road map to the primaries has been changed and flouted by the presidential election committee.
Another shocking news came through when Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng came out with a press statement of withdrawing from the race, some of the concerns he raised was that, the whole electoral process is skewed to favor one particular aspirant.
When, Aunty Amma Busia was interviewed by kencity media affiliate Oman 107.1fm about the current happenings in the party in recent times, she pleaded with the rank and file of the party to be calm and ensure that unity prevails among themselves.
She gave an analogy that all the party people who are bitter should keep their bitterness inside the freezer to cool down their tempers.
Mr Alan Kyeremateng stepped down became a shocking news to her because she knows his enormous contributions,he has offered to the party since 1992.
she called upon the leadership of the party to find a possible means to talk to him and solve any issues he had against the party amicably for the betterment of NPP.
The only thing she wasn’t happy with the Alan’s campaign team is some of them couldn’t help him enough especially his communicators, they always attacked the incumbent government and party too much.
