A 50-year-old man has been detained by Delta State police after he is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in the state’s Ebedei Ukwuole local government area.
They detained the chief, who apparently has four wives, on charges that he sexually assaulted the little girl, whose identity is being suppressed, twice.
The victim told her mother about the assault, and the mother observed her daughter was bleeding profusely.
Investigations after the disclosure showed that the chief—a father of multiple kids—had allegedly given the girl N50,000 before enticing her to an unfinished structure where he would rape her.
It has been revealed that the man allegedly carried out the act twice and even threatened the young girl with danger in order to keep her from telling anyone about his nefarious deeds.
