When they successfully rode a historic 10,000 kilometers by road from Accra to London only a few weeks ago, they were garnering positive media attention for all the right reasons.
They are now back in Ghana where they were raised.
This accomplishment was accomplished in 16 days by a team of more than a dozen men and one lady (who got off along the route in Morocco), earning them praise from all over the world.
One of the team’s leaders, Saka, claimed that they set out on the journey because, among other reasons, if others had been able to go to Ghana by road from other areas of the world, they too could.
The Ghanaian community in the United Kingdom gave the team a hearty welcome upon their arrival in London, and they later shipped their automobiles back to Ghana.
On Sunday, August 20, 2023, it is shown in a video posted on their Facebook (Wanderlust GHANA) how some of the team members have returned to Ghana.
